hi guys new grower here. In the middle of my first grow and already thinking about my second. I currently have a 4 x 4 tent with 4-5 gal pots. I see growers use 3 or 5 gal pots. Is that a personal preference? I’m interested in the pros and cons of both and number of pots to put in a 4 x 4 . ( 4-5 gal, 5-5 gal, 6-3 gal)

Will you be growing with organic or synthetic nutrients? Many opt for larger grow pots when growing with organic nutrients since the medium should be moist at all times for proper breakdown of organic matter. If you're growing with bottled nutrients then you can get away with a smaller pot size.
So on my 4x4 I've been playing woth both 3g and 5g pots. I find the 5g to be a little large for the tent for watering. They don't really dry out enough for my liking. I want to be feeding every 2 days but with the 5g I'm finding I am watering 4-6 days. 3g seems to work better for me and it was recommended by an amazing and knowledgeable grower for my tent. I will be switching to 3g after this crop. I think there are many factors to consider and every environment is different.
Thanks for the input. I’ll take all the help I can get.
How many 3 gal fit comfortably in a 4 x 4 ? 6?
With the right training probably 9. Depends how you want them to grow. 6 if you were spreading the canopy out.
