Is anyone running the cloudline T6 in a 5x5 tent? I would like to know what your get for cfm per speed control. I see there is 10 fan speeds on this unit. I figure you would need to move 175cfm for tent and another 100cfm on top for duct and carbon filter. So if my math is correct 275cfm is needed so what fan speed are you getting that on? I'm looking at moving indoors now that we are empty nesters now. This is the last piece of equipment I haven't decided on.
Thanks in advance!
So i contacted the manufacturer this afternoon about the cfm and they got back to me with this chart for both the Cloudline T4 and T6 which is highlited yellow.
@Craig Cook Thanks for sharing that info. Looks like you answered your own question :) Let us know if you have any other questions.
@Mr. Grow It So if you need to move 275 cfm through a 5x5 tent, can you take the 275 cfm and divide that by 3 minute to select your fan speed(275÷3=91.6) Meaning if I was using the T6 setting 1 would be sufficient toove the proper amount of air per minute?
@Craig Cook Well, CFM stands for cubic feet per minute. If you need to exhaust 275 cfm, then according to the chart you've posted, that's Speed 6 for the Cloudline T6. Keep in mind that things such as heat may force you to exhaust more air from the grow tent so having those additional speeds is a really good thing.
@Mr. Grow It yes I would be looking at pulling 91.6 cfm per min over a 3 minute period. Looking at spec for setting 1 on the T6 is 98.2 cfm. So if that's the case moving 98.2 cfm over 3 minutes equates to 294.6 cfm.
So in theory shouldn't that be more then enough cfm moving through the tent?
Thoughts?
@Craig Cook I understand what you mean. In theory that's enough. But changing the air in the grow space every X minutes is really just general guidance. So I wouldn't get too caught up on that. The main goal is for CO2 to not get depleted. If you have a handful of seedlings in a 5x5 grow tent, it's not going to need the air changed out anywhere near as often as 4 large plants in flowering filling up the tent wall-to-wall. I know guys who have their fans on a timer come on every 15 minutes and their plants still grow just fine. So feel free to try it on speed 1 and make adjustments if necessary.
@Mr. Grow It Thanks for the feed back! First indoor grow, normally only do outdoor. Struggling a bit
