    Deformed leaves

    in Grow Community

Growing in FFOF, 3 weeks old. Ph has been great, runoff @ 6.6 The temp and humidity have stayed within VPD zones. Using LED lights, running fan and dehumidifier. Watering every 4-5 days depending on pot weight. The Golden Goat leaves are looking very strange, cannot determine what is wrong. The second pic, of Ace Killer appears to be a showing signs of a deficiency, just not really sure which one. Any help is much appreciated.

You may want to consider feeding a 1/4 dose of nutes on your next scheduled watering. 30-40 days is just a guideline, but since you're showing signs of a deficiency, it may be time to act.

    What's your PH in?

From what I can find, it may be a magnesium deficiency . . .

Iron may also be the culprit. The leaf curl suggests the possibility of overwatering. Your grow media may be hanging onto moisture too long . .

Do you remove the water that drains through when watering or are you leaving it in to be soaked up? . . .

Also if overwatering is a possible issue it can cause nutrient lock-up, meaning that you could feed it all you like but the chemistry in the soil makes it so the roots can not absorb the nutes.

Just looking at your pics, it looks like your soil may be starting to crust (based on the fact that it's pulling away from the sides of your pots). One trick is to wrap your fabric pots with pallet wrap or cling wrap around the sides. You will see so much leas water just drain out the sides when watering. It makes a big difference, it helped me a ton!! Also, you should have some sort of mulch on your soil so you don't lose your moisture as quickly. All these things will keep things more consistent during the grow which means less stress and more growth.

    Hope this helps . . .

4-5 day watering seems like a long time between. Is this normal for FFOF?

Looks like it could be Calcium. Have you been feeding nutes at all or are you still relying on the FFOF?

Thanks for responding. Try to water when the pots feel light. Last water was with (blackstrap) molasses. Have not fed anything else as following guidelines that FFOF was good for the first 30-40 days.
