    Dry amendments?

    in Grow Community

Hello, im looking to start a coco grow with dry amendments mixed into the coco from the start then top dressing every few week. I purchased roots organics uprising grow and foundation. I cant find any info on correct amounts to mix in for my initial start. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I start a new batch of coco I use down to earth 4.4.4 and 4.8.2 plus oyster shell and azomite. I do 2 tbsp per gallon of coco. After that is mixed I add 30% perlite and mix again.

I water with cal-mag 5ml per gallon everywatering and ph to 5.8.

I water 1/2 gallon every day and the 7th day I water to get 20% runoff.

I top dress every 4wks with 4.4.4 until flower. Then 2wks before flower top dress with 4.4.4 and 4.8.2 and every other week feed a tea to plants whether its in veg or flower.

I never top dress with worm casting I only add to my teas.

I am currently looking into switching nutes to Vegamatrix and setting up a High Frequency Fertigation system.

Everyone does things different and this is what's works for me. I normally grow outdoors and am on my first indoor run. I didn't changing any from out to in other then getting to control my temps and humidity. Hope this helps you out some.

Thanks for looking into that. Thats the directions I came across. I find it hard to believe that 2 tsp in a 1 to 10 gallon pot is sufficient, unless they mean per gallon. But even then other companies that sell organic dry amendments are using 4 TBSP per gal. Mixing rate.
