I have FOXFARM OCEAN FOREST soil. I did not add any nutrients, my run off water is in the 2k!!PPM Is this normal?

    in Grow Community

Hi! this is my first time growing. My plants

Seem happy and healthy in their environment I have for them. they are about 2-3 weeks And I am only using FOXFARM OCEAN FOREST soil with no extra nutrients in the soil nor water. The water I use is at a ph of 6-6.6ish and the ppm in my water is at 147ish. I was curious what my run off ppm would be and it was in the 2000’s! Is this normal? My plants are in solo cups and they are healthy for the looks of it, no yellowing or toxicity.

Fresh FFOF has pretty strong nutrition. If there is no plant issues I wouldn't worry to much about ppm this early in the game. Keep the ph balanced and you'll be good for a bit.

@noelgenao I think we've all wrecked some plants along way and some of us (me) still do trying different things. The hardest part of growing I had starting was to relax, lol. These plants are pretty forgiving if you don't let any issues go to extreme. Your off to a good start and your on a good forum of helpful people.

Hello and welcome. Good luck with your grow. I also use FF Ocean Forest and ,although I haven’t tested PPM straight out of the bag, I have heard that it is “hot” straight out of the bag. You should be fine from what I’m reading. As your plants grow they absorb what they need as it’s needed from the available supply. Try and update as you go and from what it sounds like everything is cool Perhaps some pics would help to get a better idea of how it’s going

@TnA Homegrown thank you for the quick response and the welcoming :) here are some pics of my babies. Please note that one of them is a bit damaged but that’s not from the soil or water or environment, I dropped a air vent on it by mistake -_- and it got crushed!!! I thought it would die because the stem completely bent but! She came back! Once I put her in FF. you Might notice some stretching on the stems but that’s because I had no knowledge at all when I started and I just had them in miracle grow under my kitchen light with not tent or anything. Then a week later I got my AC infinity setup :D and started YouTubing away. My lights are honestly some cheap ones I found on eBay for about 60 bucks, I know they are garbage because they are no name brand and I know the output cant be what they say, but the plants aren’t stretching and I have the light at about 16” because I know the output can’t be that high. I do want to upgrade to Spider Farm sf 1000 But I want to see what I can do with this light. Also! I have no clue what seeds I am growing I just got them out of my last half I purchased and I found the

    in some buds.
