any tips on how to groom plants to be mothers?
do I top? lots of topping?
Topping, LST, pruning... All of that will help keep the mother plant shaped the way you're looking for. I had a bonsai mother plant last year that was kept in a 1-gal container. You'll find as the plant grows, it becomes easy figuring out which branches to take off to keep it small. Or, if you are trying to keep a big mother plant, even easier.
I want a mother tree for constant cloning. I'm gonna top them today then! thanks Mr grow it!
topped em! do you recommend another topping or when taking clones the plant will be more or less topped?
@Gilan Eugene You plants look healthy. Nice job. Most of the time I will top just once and then LST the remainder of the time.
