I’m assuming this is a magnesium deficiency but I’m second guess myself and I‘m hesitating on doing anything until I can get confirmation. It started with the leaf in the top right of the pic, which is the bottom of the plant, so I know it’s mobile. The leaf on the bottom of the pic (top of plant) started to exhibit symptoms today. It’s a Northern Lights Auto in a 2/3 Fox Farms Ocean Forest, 1/3 Royal Gold Tupur mix, on Day 19. I started LST on Day 17, and on day 18 I noticed the leaf in the top right of the pic exhibiting symptoms and today noticed the same symptoms on the leaf in the bottom of the pic. The last watering was on Day 16 and included per Gallon - 1/2ml House & Garden Amino Treatment, 2ml Cal-Mag, & 1 Heaping Tablespoon Organic Unsulphured Molasses with a PPM of 376 and PH of 6.3 Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Good details. Looks like magnesium deficiency. Which brand CalMag are you using? I typically use 5-10ml per gallon in veg, then stop right before flowering, then re-introduce in week 3 or 4 of flowering. I back off because in my CalMag there is also nitrogen in it and too much nitrogen going into flowering has led to poor, airy bud structure.
Sorry about the orientation of the pic, but the Brand is Bloom City. I see what ya mean about the Nitrogen. Thanks for the advice. I gotta say I’m very thankful for all of your videos on YouTube and this website. One last question, at least for today... the soil could probably go another day before being watered, so should I wait till tomorrow to address the problem or tackle it today?
@mmb1981 You'll get the feel for watering with experience. If it's starting to droop then you could do it now. If the plant looks fine then you can attempt to let it go another day and see how it goes. I think it's good for new growers to see what an under-watered plant looks like and how long it takes for recovery.
@Mr. Grow It Idk if it was the right thing to do but I decided to water it yesterday, and I decided to give it its first feeding. I mixed 2.5ml CalMag, 2ml Biobizz Fish Mix, 1.5ml Biobizz Bloom, & 1 small tablespoon of Molasses into a 1/2 Gallon of water. PPM of 716 and PH of 6.5, and gave the plant 32oz of water. The plant is in a 2 Gallon pot, and this allowed for very little runoff. I’m considering letting the plant go 5-6 days without water so I can see this signs of under watering. Providing no other issues arise.
