I have 2 White Widow plants that are yellowing around the outer edge of the leaves and I’m not sure exactly why. Plants are on Day 53 of Veg. Soil is 50/50 mix of Fox Farm Ocean forest & Happy frog. Started in solo cup for 18 Days, transplanted into 3 Gal pot on Day 19, top fed with Dr Earth 4-4-4 on Day 40, and transplanted into 5 Gal pot on day 49. It started with one plant and then the second plant started showing the same issues. The issues has been at the top of the plant the entire time, so I’m pretty sure the

deficiency isn’t Mobile. I have 2 GDP plants in the same tent & on the same schedule and they are perfectly healthy.
Looks a lot like copper deficiency. https://www.growweedeasy.com/cannabis-plant-problems/copper-deficiency Interested to see what the pH and PPM of the runoff are.
I think your right @Mr. Grow It , I was researching his nutrients and gonna see what his ppm and pH came out. Someday I'll be able to know off the top of my head like you, until then I have to fill in all the puzzle pieces to feel secure i give good information.
I used a different brand 4-4-4 dry amendment and my soil ph spiked to 7.3. I have a feeling he may have a high ph as well.
Pretty sure he nailed it. I came across the link he sent me late last night. I was looking up immobile deficiencies as I was struggling to stay awake. I’m going to move the lights up a few inches and I’m going to run a 1/2 Gal of water through each plant. I’ll collect the run off and post the ph & ppm. Thank you guys so much for helping identify the problem.
Can you get a ppm and pH run off?
I can try next time I water. I’m in fabric pots and what little run off there is just gets sucked back up. I know the soil is a little hot because I have 2 GDP plants Im growing along with these and they have a little bit of nutrient burn, but other than that they are perfectly healthy. Same soil, water, nutrients, and they’re fine. If it were a ph or ppm issue I’d think the GDP plants would also have issues, but they don’t
Strains can be different in reactions. Some of those leaves are pretty advanced and at that point the appearance can be blamed on multiple things. Need to know the basics before knowing which direction for next step. The ppm and pH run off will give us an idea where to go. Also how often do you water?
When they were in 3 Gal pots 16oz every 2-3 days. When I transplanted into 5 Gal pots (4 Days ago) I gave each plant 32oz. I checked the moisture of the soil with my finger yesterday and it was still moist. I did a heavy watering when I transplanted to help settle the new soil. I might not need to water for another day or two. I need to flip the plants into flower soon because my last grow was a complete failure and I’m getting low on what I have from the grow before that one. FML
If you flip them before finding and fixing the issue you may run into growth and other issues.
Yup, well aware of that. I understand checking the ph & ppm of the run off, and I’ll do it, but I would think the other 2 GDP plants would be experiencing some issues as well and they’re as healthy as can be. Same soil, same nutrients, same stage of life and not a single issue. I just don’t get it and it’s aggravating af
It can be frustrating. I'm constantly growing multi strain grows and as much as I hope I can run them on the same schedule, same amounts, etc, it never goes that way. Right now I have 4 that are same age, same medium, same room and one had deficiency, then I over did it and had excess issues. I've had same strains react differently before. Growing has its ups and downs but it's a labor of love.
I get ya, and I’ve heard ppl say the same thing. I can give it 7-10 days to try & resolve the issue, but I can’t go much longer than that then I’ve gotta flip to flower. I’m disabled and have a very limited income. If I wasn’t running low on weed and had the cash to buy from the black market or dispensary I prob wouldn’t care, but it’s just adding to my frustration. Thanks for taking the time to discuss the issues with me. I’ll be turning the lights on soon and checking the soil, but I don’t think I’ll need to water till tomorrow. I’ll post ph & ppm when I can
I understand the position my friend. Will help as much as possible.
