I've been keeping a 5 gallon bucket of tap water in my tent to help a bit w/RH but also to let whatever additives the City puts in to off-gas. So I'm wondering if I could just add my nutes ahead of time, mix them up and just measure out a gallon or so everytime I feed. Thoughts? Does anyone do this?
I asked this question specifically to Rob at Blue Planet Nutrients and he mentioned you can mix up nutrients and keep them like that for a maximum of 2 weeks. I never went more than 1 week and I always stirred the mixture prior to feeding to the plant. I'm not sure if other nutrient lines would give you the same answer or a different answer.
Well, FWIW, Fox Farms says "We typically do not recommend storing mixed nutrients no longer than 48 hours. After that 48 hour window you will want to consider mixing a fresh nutrient solution."
I use Humbolts Secret and here's what they said;
We suggest using them as soon as they are mixed. However, you can keep them in a closed container that’s properly stored for 3-5 days max.
I wouldn’t
Thanks...that sounds reasonable. I use FF trio...I'll see if they will comment.
Interesting, Thanks for letting us know what FoxFarm said.
