    Problems with drying

    in Grow Community

On day 4 of my first harvest. In an effort to keep my empty tent with my 3 hanging plants at a perfect 55% humidity, I set my 4 month old Trotronics humidifier in there. At times the humidity would get too high so I turned it way down. This morning my tent was full of vapor, my humidistat read HH, the plants were dripping and there was water on the floor. Ugh. Will my plants mold?

Ah! That's terrible :( You may still be able to salvage as long as there's no mold. You may want to keep the humidifier off for 12-24 hours to let them dry faster, then put the humidifier back on but lowered - i.e. 45-50% ... But it really depends on how wet they are.

Also, can you post a picture? I'm interested to see it.

There’s not much to show now. I opened the tent, turned my fan on high and dried it out for 24 hours. Got the humidity down to 35%. The plants smelled like wet hay for a day. I cleaned my humidifier. The eye above the humidistat may have been dirty? I set it at 50% and now it’s running perfectly at 54% and smells wonderful again.
