Got some seeds from premium weed grown in Jamaica. Germinated in a paper towel in a ziplock bag. All 8 seeds germinated. Placed the geminated seeds in 4 inch tall peat pots filled with Miracle Grow potting mix (extended release nutrients) and rigged up an old chest of drawers with three 24 inch grow lights and am watering with distilled water when the top soil is dry an inch down. Light cycle at 18/6. I put the peat pots into solo cups and topped it off with more of the same potting soil.
The seedlings are doing well....no CalMag or nutrients added yet. Going to transplant into one gallon plastic buckets and move to a 2x4 grow tent (Spiderfarmer SF-2000 set up) at some point using Happy Frog soil (with mycorrhizae and humid acid) and 25% power on the lights. Perhaps when the fifth node pops. Probably will move some of them outside, planting in an outdoor garden. My plan is to start adding nutrients at this point (reduced concentration).
Going to use the General Hydroponics Flora Grow, Bloom, Micro Combo Fertilizer set and CalMag. They seem to be doing well now. Any pitfalls to avoid going forward?
