I've read some places that you should continue to give veg nutrients during the stretch phase of flowering so they have adequate nitrogen but others say to switch to flowering nutes when you switch the light schedule.
I'm growing purple haze by ilgm in FFOF soil and using the fox farm nutrient trio (big bloom, grow big, & tiger bloom).
Thanks!
Yes, switch. I personally do a week or two extra of cal-mag after flipping, depending on the strain/pheno.
@Dale Thanks I'll definitely do that. If I'm using distilled water should I give a low dosage of cal mag throughout flowering or still cut it off after the stretch phase?
Totally up to you. Give some cal-mag and see how they react. You can always cut it out at the next feeding if they don't require it. They will tell you what's up. Each strain/pheno is different.
Different phenos will act differently when it comes to the uptaking nutrients around the flip. IMO it's a guessing game; some of the plants can take the new ratio of nutrients right away while others will act hungry for nitrogen if you switch right away. I look at the color of my plants leaves when making that determination. If they are dark green then I switch nutrients right away, if they are on the lighter side then I may continue veg nutrients for a week or two.
@Mr. Grow It my leaves are on the darker side so I'm gonna switch the nutrients. Thanks for the advice
