Been challenged the past couple months with spider mites and thought I'd share. My plants started having little white dots (like freckles) and I couldn't figure out what the issue was. The plant growth slowed down and leaves started dying but didn't see any physical signs of pests and soil test we're constantly in good range. One morning I walked into room and clear as day all over the tops was webbing 😤. In one night from seeing nothing to loaded tops, horrible sight. The veg room was fairly simple to cure with a full room clean and three weeks of organic neem oil w/dish soap and haven't seen anything since (thank God). Now the flower room is a different story. I did not want to use neem oil with plants close to done so did a little research and found a liquid called mighty wash. Now id not suggest to anyone with more then a couple plants to not waste your money on this stuff. It's not a solution at all, about all it does is kill enough adults to slow the webbing of flowers. And even going through the treatments as suggested by manufacturer they still would be back in full force within a week. Let me add this stuff is not cheap. Lets add also if you apply with lights on your tricomes won't look so good in the morning. (Side note, used low flow vac to remove webs before treatments). At this point I got the idea to order 5000 ladybugs, I applied the mighty wash about 3 days before they arrived figuring once they got here they could take over removing my issue. For about 4 weeks all was great, the white dots were not showing up on new leaves, no webs and couldn't find any mites with magnifying glass. All was great until the lady bugs got the wild idea to all leave the plants and crawl around in the coco in groups having orgies at the bottom of the plant. This has been going on for over a week and guess who shows up at tops, more damn webs and mites. So I've taken another gamble on predator mites that the company swears will completely erradicate the mite issue completely and then the predator mites(Persimilis mite) will die within a couple weeks of no more food to eat. I will update in a couple weeks with results and I've posted a pic of leaf with white dots from spider mites.
