Temp went up to 100 degrees and I think that did it...
I did LST and this one does not look too good.. what should I do? The other 2 are great
Oh no!.... Yeah temps that high will harm the plants for sure. The best thing you can do is get the conditions back in the ideal range and hope for the best :(
Mr. G is right on the temp bro. Make sure when you l.s.t you only wanna put slight bends in the branches. You are basically going to have the limbs grow the way you want instead of how they naturally would, but you do this slowly over time. Keep the limbs growing laterally instead of vertically. Each time you pull them vertical they naturally grow back towards the light, use this to your advantage. Hope this helps.
i did have some of the same results in the early stages of doing clones -- but i did take it to the next step -- re - thought how i was going to setup and complete -- first was the heat problem -- i moved the light up from about 12 inches to about 18 inches and turned it on for 24 hours and had a thermostat setup to see what the total high would be. about top at 74 to 76 Deg
while doing this i also did the humidity check as well -- did same next day but put wet sponge in on plate to see how much the humidity would change -- lets say the baseline is at 48% -- now the second day the humidity went to about 63% this was nice but could cause problems with plant my personal thought.
ok that was done now i got some good idea of how this chamber / tent / booth will work when actually used -- put light up 2 more inches and lined the inside with tinfoil -- put in small personal 4 inch fan and set indirectly just to move air -- the first 24 to 32 hours i left in total darkness.
temp was at about 70 to 72 Deg and humidity was like 51% not was the time to figure light cycle -- at first i gave like 3 to 4 hours of light every 8 to 10 hours or so over the next 10 to 14 days -- the whole time making sure the soil is damp not over moist or saturated.
then once i felt plants strong enough i set to a 16 - 8 light for the next several weeks and now they are set for the 12 - 12 -- here is the result of this -- only 2 out of 10 made it from initial Heat Stroke
for me i found that by having cooler temps the clones have a better and faster chance to recover and flourish -- some will disagree but that is fine with me as its a personal thing i do now on clones and seedlings.
and yes you do have to be careful and slow in bending the stems for the inner stalks to catch up -- the more you can fan the bigger the umbrella / canopy as you see below i did not do it this time but rather wanted several Main Top Buds.
and yes this is a homemade grow booth -- total cost to build minus the lights was about 38 dollars its 3.5 X 3.5 X 86 tall -- very easy to maintain and move about and make adjustments as needed during grow cycles -- works great for me in my situation ( piss poor broke lol lol
best of luck and you came to the right place !!!!
